Through AIGA of Northwest Arkansas, I initiated a volunteer event called "Cupid Cards." In partnership with the nonprofit The Cupid Project, we aim to craft Valentine’s Day cards for local nursing home residents.
The Mission
Each year, 1.2 million seniors in nursing homes face chronic loneliness, which is associated with serious health issues. To help combat this epidemic at a local level, I am hosting an event to create handmade Valentine’s Day cards, which I will deliver to several Northwest Arkansas nursing homes before the holiday. Everyone deserves to feel loved and valued, and this is a simple way to spread that message.
The Process
Using mixed media, including paint and digital art, I designed graphics for AIGA’s social media platforms to promote the event and encourage community participation.
